Please be advised that from July 18 to August 5, 2016, the Museum will be available for pilgrims participating in the World Youth Day.

Opening hours:

18-25.07.2016 08:00 – 21:00 (last entry at 20:00)

26-29.07.2016 08:00 – 22:00 (tickets available to the Organizing Committee of World Youth Day)

30.07.-05.08.2016 08:00 – 21:00 (last entry at 20:00)

The visiting tour will be held independently (without a guide). The entrance at the exhibition will be performed in groups of 40 persons, every 10 minutes. At the entrance, the visitors will receive the museum map in order to facilitate their visit to the Museum. The tour lasts approx. 40 minutes.

From July 18 to August 5, 2016, there is only one ticket price – 15 PLN/person.

Dear Guests,

In the interest of your safety, wellbeing and security we would like to inform that the cloakroom will not be available between the 18th July and 5th of August due to the reorganization of guided tours. Please do not bring large daypacks, backpacks, or luggage into our Museum as you will not be allowed to enter – please consider leaving any such items on the tour bus or in a hotel room. We would also like to kindly remind you that you must not bring food into our Museum. Last but not least, do not bring any sharp objects such as knives, screwdrivers, scissors, etc into our Museum. Thank you in advance for following these simple rules and thereby contributing to your own as well as everyone else’s safety.

11th Anniversary of Pope St. John Paul II’s death

In the light of Christ risen from the dead, on 2 April A.D. 2005, at 9.37 p.m., while Saturday was drawing to a close and the Lord’s Day was already beginning, the Octave of Easter and Divine Mercy Sunday, the Church’s beloved Pastor, John Paul II, departed this world for the Father.

Today is the 11th anniversary of those events.
In the photo below you can see the Holy Bible which was read to John Paul II in his last days by sr. Tobiana. When He passed away, the Sister wrote „Amen” under the piece where she finished. Today, that Holy Bible can be seen in our Museum.

Resurrexit, alleluia! – He is risen, alleluia!

May the empty tomb of Christ open us for the Easter gift of light

and makes us believe that times of toil and pain
will pass eventually and lead us to happiness.

In the night of Bethlehem,
the Word of God became our travelling companion.
He took our flesh and accepted to share even to death our condition.

May the universal message of love, conveyed to us through the birth of Jesus Christ,
