The Holy Father John Paul II Family Home Museum in Wadowice has acquired a new appearance. Its logo design was inspired by the Roman Triptych and Blessed John Paul II’s reflections on the true meaning of the Sistine Chapel frescoes: the Creation, the End, and the future of the Keys to the Kingdom of Heaven.
The universally recognized insignia of St. Peter’s keys has been used to illustrate the main objective of the Holy Father John Paul II Family Home Museum, which is to invite you to accompany our Pope on his journey from his family home to the House of God. That is why one key resembles a house key that the “little boy from Wadowice” might have carried in his pocket. The other key looks like one of the Pope’s keys found in the coat of arms of “the Pope’s from a distant country“.
The keys also represent a promise of a new cultural institution designed to improve a multi-dimensional understanding of this unusual individual and his teaching (that is not only in terms of history but also in a purely human or deeply spiritual fashion). The logo typeface was designed for the Holy Father John Paul II Family Home based on the Roman antique font.
The colors of the Holy Father John Paul II Family Home, dominant red supplemented with white, carry a wealth of meaning. They talk about faith and love, chastity and mercy, dedication and courage, patriotism, inspiration and creativity – values found in John Paul II’s life and teaching. The energy of the colors is designed to support the Holy Father John Paul II Family Home in accomplishing its mission, i.e. to respectfully present the greatness of this Pope and to shine the light of his teaching on the lives of ordinary people.
