On the Karol Wojtyla’s name day, November 4, his family home was visited by pupils of second class and third class of primary school in Wadowice, who, in September this year had made their art works inspired by the permanent exhibition of our museum.

Thirteen winners of the contest „John Paul II Family Home through the eyes of children” have received prizes and their works decorate a wall calendar, which you can already buy in our museum shop.

A special committee has chosen the winners of the approximately one hundred works  submitted to the contest. This calendar has been issued in conjunction with the Trade and Service Company „JAN” in Wadowice, which covered the costs of its production  and has funded the prizes for the winners.

All children, who had participated in the contest and had delivered their works, have received a special puzzle with the image of John Paul II, in addition to the calendar. The calendars have been also provided to schools and to the store of „Jan” company  located in Wadowice.

All proceeds from our calendar distribution will be used to subsidize school meals for schoolchildren in Wadowice, coming from poor families. Any remaining money will be provided to school boards.
