“First keep the peace within yourself, then you can also bring peace to others”. These words of Pope John Paul II are the motto of this year’s program of The Peace Light of Bethlehem. The action of receiving the flame originating from the Grotto of the Nativity in Bethlehem is a program inaugurated in Austria in 1986 as part of a charitable relief mission for handicapped children and people in need.

The polish scouts have helped to transmit this flame since 1991. It has already reached many countries in Europe. On December 17, it reached our Museum.

The scouts of Land of Wadowice Troop brought it to the birthplace of the Polish Pope. We thank them for it!
