On 11 October 2019 at 7.00 pm in the Basilica of Wadowice we had the opportunity to attend an exceptional concert. The TGD group (Third Hour of the Day) performed on the occasion of the 41st anniversary of the election of Cardinal Karol Wojtyła as Successor of St. Peter.

Praise the Lord, all his servants, raise your hands in this holy place – with these words, praising God for all the favors He grants to man, the extraordinary concert „Let your Spirit descend, and renew the face of the earth” began „. The numerous guests and the TGD band recalled the historic event of the election of Karol Wojtyła as Successor of St. Peter. Everyone sang, prayed and shared their joy together.12

During the concert, we were able to listen to songs such as: „Przyjdź jak deszcz”, „Święty, Święty” or „Błogosław duszo moja Pana” performed by one of the most famous Polish bands that create music with a Christian message. The band’s audio was created by a multi-person choir and an instrumental group led by Piotr Nazaruk, eminent composer and conductor.

It is worth mentioning that the event is part of a series of four-year preparations for the 100th anniversary of the birth of Karol Wojtyła – John Paul II, which will take place next year.
