On 11 April 2017, The Ambassador of Cuba to Poland – Jorge Martí Martínez and his wife visited John Paul II Family Home Museum in Wadowice. The diplomat did not hide his emotions and joy of staying at the house of the Polish Pope, whom – as he mentioned – the Cubans loved and still remember about him. The Ambassador also talked about changes that began in his country after the visit of John Paul II – among others restoring the possibility of celebrating Christmas.

The Cuba Ambassador to Poland, Mr Jorge Martí Martínez, entered his name in the book of remembrance. He also promised to provide Cuban land, which will enrich the Museum’s area dedicated to the foreign pilgrimages of the Pope from Wadowice.
