We sang and played Him as best and as loud as we could

On January 7 this year, in the Basilica of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Wadowice, we were caroling with John Paul II.

The first concert in the New Year has inaugurated a year of exceptional events, including the centenary of regaining of Independence. There were also beautiful traditional Christmas songs and unique, original carols created by artists from Loch Camelot. The Loch Camelot Theater, which has been operating for 26 years in ‘Doubting Thomas Alley’ in Krakow,  is a „multigenerational” team of artists, singers, poets, composers, actors, musicians, students of the Academy of Music and the Academy of Theater Arts.

The Theater’s repertoire is varied: on every Saturday of the season – a cabaret show, on Fridays and Sundays – recitals and concerts. Among performers are such known names as Beata Malczewska, Basia Stępniak-Wilk, Joanna Trafas, Lada Gorpienko, Agnieszka Grochowicz. For the general public, the band is known for their „Singing Lessons” – concerts organized by the Polish Song Library and the President of Krakow on the occasion of anniversaries of historical events and holidays. „Invented” by Waldemar Domański outdoor „concerts for artists and the singing audience” regularly gather thousands of listeners – most often at the Main Market Square in Krakow.

The attendance record is 35 thousand viewers on „Lesson” on the anniversary of the march of the First Cadre Company. Loch Camelot – Theater (Kraków stage, 17 Tomasza St.) is currently run by a composer, pianist and director – a long-time teacher at the National Academy of Theatre Arts in Krakow – Ewa Kornecka. We would like to thank everyone for caroling together with the Loch Camelot artists and our Museum.
