On May 25, 2015, at the Museum Family Home of Pope John Paul II, a special event took place i.e. a „Poetic Tour” of the Museum.

At the invitation of the Museum’s direction, a famous stage actor Dariusz Jakubowski came to Wadowice. The words of poems written by Karol Wojtyła – San Giovanni Paolo II resounded in  the interiors of our Museum. The deputy Director of the Museum, Mr. Michał Jakubczyk introduced the visitors into the biographical context of individual literary works.

The first piece was the poem (dedication) of Karol Wojtyła written in the diary of Danuta Pukłówna, on 25.05.1938. The poetic tour started with the interpretation of this piece. Mr. Dariusz Jakubowski recited individual poems in different thematic areas of our museum.

Many young people and, among others, the former pupils of the old „Gymnasium” i.e. Marcin Wadowita National High School for Boys attended by Karol Wojtyla, (today, this is the Marcin Wadowita High School), took part in this poetic tour.The visitors were divided into 3 groups. In total, about 70 people attended the event. Thanks to the financial support of the Marshal Office of the Malopolskie region, the ticket costed just 6.25 PLN.

The Museum, among its projects, foresees similar meetings with the poetry of Karol Wojtyła in his Family Home.
