The opening ceremony of the exhibition entitled „Immortal”, which had been created in collaboration with our Museum was held in Turin, on May 27, 2015. The inauguration was preceded by a conference, during which Antonio Preziosi, Italian writer and journalist, presented his book „Immortal. From Lolek to Saint John Paul II”. A great story of a man came from afar.
The deputy director of our museum, Father Jacek Pietruszka also spoke during the ceremony. He stressed that among various memorabilia that testify to the apostolic life of the greatest witness to Christ in our times, that is of St. John Paul II, the museum will also present the greatest relic in its possession, the Shroud of Turin.
The press conference was attended, among others, by the Mayor of Turin Piero Fassino and the Archbishop of Turin, Mons. Cesare Nosiglia, the entire meeting was conducted by Andrea Tornielli, the Vatican correspondent for „La Stampa” and the coordinator of „Vatican Insider” i.e. the website of „La Stampa”. The exhibition at the State Archives will last until August 2, 2015
