On April 2, 2005, John Paul II went to the house of the Father at the age of 84 years. The St. Peter’s Square was full of faithful immersed in prayer for the Holy Father. All eyes were turned to see the papal apartments. The Sister Tobiana was reading the Scriptures to the dying Pope.
At the time of his death, at 21:37, the nun deleted the sign of the cross and she wrote the word Amen, the last excerpt of the Holy Bible she read, it was: “Now the rest of the acts of Jehu, and all that he did, and all his might, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel? And Jehu slept with his fathers: and they buried him in Samaria. And Jehoahaz his son reigned in his stead. And the time that Jehu reigned over Israel in Samaria was twenty and eight years”. (The Second Book of Kings, 10, 34-36).
At the same time, Cardinal Stanisław Rylko stopped the clock which was located in the private apartments of the Holy Father. The Polish Pope has left behind him the signs in the form of poetry, documents, apostolic exhortations or letters. He still has not said the last word.
