John Paul II Family Home through the eyes of children –  wall calendar 2015 enjoys great interest / has received great attention. We have collected more than 6.6 thousand PLN for two months of its distribution in our museum shop, in the stores of FH „Jan” company and in four primary schools of Wadowice. All proceeds from our calendar distribution will be provided to school boards accounts and will be used to subsidize school meals for schoolchildren coming from poor families and for other forms of assistance for those who need an emergency financial support, according to the opinion of the individual school boards and the direction of the schools.

The campaign has not finished yet. The calendars can be still purchased in the same places. We have summarized the first phase of its distribution, in order not to keep money in the accounts, so that they can serve the needy – says Michał Jakubczyk deputy director for planning of our Museum. The museum visitors, the customers of the „Jan” company chain stores and the members of the elementary school communities in Wadowice, acquiring these calendars can make a voluntary donation to support our campaign. All funds collected will be transferred to the elementary school in Wadowice. No matter how small, as every gesture counts. The campaign will continue at least until the end of June or until the current stock are exhausted.

Just to remember. The calendar „John Paul II Family Home through the eyes of children” is the result of the art competition, made in September 2014, which involved many pupils of second class and third class of primary schools in Wadowice. The pupils, after visiting the new exhibition of the Holy Father John Paul II Family Home, had made their works representing its most inspiring parts. This calendar unique of its kind has been decorated with the 13 most beautiful works of the students. In this calendar, issued jointly with the FH „Jan” company, you can also find out what important events in the life of Karol Wojtyła, Pope John Paul II and his family have taken place on a given day.
